Miss Farmington Program Honors Supporters

The Riley family and Greg and Maureen Cowley receive awards for contributions to the local pageant.

Former Miss Farmington Sarah Duhr presented awards Monday to two Farmington area families that have contributed to the annual pageant program.

During the 7 p.m. meeting, Duhr and  manager Geno Grabinski presented a plaque to Greg and Maureen Cowley, who have hosted Miss Farmington judges at pub in downtown Farmington for the past several years. The restaurant is also sponsoring a contestant this year.

Duhr said "words cannot express our thanks" to the Riley family and Kim Riley Fouts, who accepted an award on her family's behalf. The Riley Foundation last year provided $3,500 in scholarships to Miss Farmington contestants, in memory of Riley Fouts' mother, Dolores Riley, who passed away in 2010.

This year's Miss Farmington pageant will be held July 18 at the in downtown Farmington.
