Team Farmington Hosts 20th Annual Bowl-A-Thon for Special Olympics

Proceeds from the April 28 event will support the members of Team Farmington as they compete in Special Olympics events.

The 20th annual Bowl-A-Thon for Team Farmington Special Olympics will be held April 28, 11 a.m., at in Farmington Hills. 

Team Farmington offers training and competition in 12 sports for about 175 athletes who are mentally challenged and involved in special education programs. The program is dependent on support from the community, schools and parents. 

Proceeds from the Bowl-A-Thon will provide equipment, uniforms and transportation to all Special Olympic events, as well as registration and event fees.

Each team will consist of five bowlers; if you need extra players, Team Farmington members will be glad to help out. A goal of $100 per bowler is encouraged as a fundraising goal, but any amount is welcomed and appreciated. Single bowlers are welcome, for a minimum donation of $25. The bowling format will be three games of nine-pin no-tap.
