Walkers Finish Komen 3 Day Sunday in Dearborn

A Dearborn water stop for volunteers walking to raise funds for breast cancer research has a local connection.

Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch account manager Catherine Grace set up a water station to support walkers in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure as they finished their journey Sunday in Dearborn.

Grace's sister-in-law, breast cancer survivor Rosemary Cairns, organized the "Breast Friends for Life" team, all Farmington Hills residents: Stefanie Cairns, Lauren Ruffolo, Brian Jakubiec and Cheryl Ruffolo.
