Lunch with Trucks and More This Week in Farmington and Farmington Hills

Get a close-up look at a big truck today at the Farmington Community Library Farmington branch.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Farmington-Farmington Hills to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch events calendar.

1. Happening today

Bring a lunch at your favorite book to the downtown Farmington branch parking lot at noon today to get a close up look at a BIG truck. Take part in a book dig, enjoy a snack from the scoop of a big vehicle and pose for pictures.

2. For your information

Learn more about the Aug. 6 bond referendum and get your questions answered at this meeting, held Thursday, 6:30 p.m., at the Ten Mile Building, 32789 W. 10 Mile Road, Farmington.

3. Local Voice of the Week

Read Steve's rating and review of the new Superman movie re-boot in his latest post. You can start a blog on Patch, too - here's where you get started: farmington-mi.patch.com/blogs/new.

4. Look ahead

Stop by this local business and find a new fur-ever friend on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m.

5. Get healthy

This free event at noon on Thursday features guest speaker Dr. Kathleen Hannon on the latest research and newest tests and treatment for preventive health. And you can meet Dr. Don from 99.5-FM WYCD!
