Start a Digital Diet and More This Week in Farmington and Farmington Hills

Other events this week include a support group for lung cancer patients and Halloween event for kids.

Whether you can't put down your iPhone or you compulsively check Facebook, Farmington Hills native Mark Ostach will talk about the benefits of a "digital diet" during an event this week in Farmington.

1. Digital Diet

Farmington Hills native Mark Ostach offers information about how to balance your digital life during this Monday, 7 p.m. event at Farmington High School, 32000 Shiawassee. There's no charge to attend; learn more at digitaldietguy.com.

2. Thoracic surgeon leads new support group for lung cancer patients

David Sternberg, MD, a minimally invasive thoracic surgeon, will lead a new free and informal support group for lung cancer patients starting Monday, 7 p.m., at Botsford Cancer Center's Suite 230. For more information, call 248-471-8120.

3. Learn to skate open house

4. Halloween Trunk or Treat

This Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. event at First Presbyterian Church of Farmington on Farmington Road provides kids an opportunity to break out their costumes a little early. Call 248-474-6170 or visit farmington-pres.org to learn more. 

5. Robert and Pamela Taylor at The Old Town Hall

The Taylors have dedicated their lives to teaching and helping others in their spiritual pursuits.
