Farmington's Relay for Life and More This Weekend

1. Relay for Life

  • When: Saturday, May 18 starting at 10 a.m.
  • Where: Shiawassee Park
  • What: Relay for Life is a twenty-four hour event on behalf of the American Cancer Society. We are celebrating survivors and caregivers.  

2. 2nd Annual Michigan Beer and Wine Tasting

  • When: Friday, May 17 at 6 p.m. from 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • Where: Longacre House
  • What:The Xemplar Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills, Farmington Hills Youth and Family Services, and Community Living Centers are holding a beer & wine tasting fund raiser to benefit the youth and developmentally disabled in your community. Join us for this unique tasting event while meeting and greeting people in your community. Cost is $30 per person.

3. Grandparent and Child Day – Hayrides and More

  • When: Sunday, May 19
  • Where: Heritage Park
  • What:Enjoy nature with your grandchild on the trails. Snacks provided, $7 per person.

4. Volunteer Days at Heritage Park

  • When: Saturday, May 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Heritage Park
  • What: Join in on monthly volunteer days to remove invasive plants like buckthorn and garlic mustard, improve trails throughout the park, plant trees and seeds, and take part in many other rewarding activities. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Please dress for the weather and working outdoors. No pre-registration is necessary. All materials are provided.
