Basketball and More This Weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills

The Battle of the Middles, a living nativity and other events are posted on the Patch calendar.

A busy weekend of holiday activities lies ahead in Farmington and Farmington Hills. 

Here's more information about a few of the events posted on the Patch calendar

1. Battle of the Middles

This game, played at Farmington High on Friday, 6:30 p.m.,  pits staff members from upper elementary and middle schools to raise funds for the Farmington Area Goodfellows holiday drive and Neighborhood House. For more information, visit battleofthemiddles.wiki.farmington.k12.mi.us.

2. OTBP Christmas Bizarre Bazaar!

Off the Beaten Path, Michigan's only steampunk-themed bookstore, will be hosting a variety of vendors offering jewelry, hats, leather, books and more, on Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The store is located at 33314 Grand River in downtown Farmington.

3. A Wintery Mix 

Join the Farmington Community Band (FCB) on Sunday, 3 p.m., at Harrison High, for a concert that will include a big finale showcasing the FCB Concert band with special guests, The Community Church of Christ Mass Choir. Admission is free. Learn more about the band at fcbmusic.org.

4. "Drive Thru" LIVING NATIVITY!

Witness the journey to Bethlehem at this free event, offered on Sunday, 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m., at Orchard United Methodist Church, 30450 Farmington Rd. in Farmington Hills. Follow the luminaries through the Christmas story presented with live animals, actors and singing angels. No charge. 

5. Holiday Expo

More than 60 vendors, crafters and local businesses will gather at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills Saturday and Sunday for a Holiday Shopping Expo that will include a visit from Santa Claus. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, when Santa will visit, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
