Ghostly History and More This Weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills

A Friday night fish dinner, health and wellness day and more are posted on the Patch weekend calendar.

This weekend offers family-friendly activities in Farmington and Farmington Hills, including a chance to learn about Farmington history from ghosts at the Governor Warner Mansion. 

Here are more details about the Ghost Walk and more events on the Patch calendar

1. Photo Road Rally

Teams will be given a list of photos to be taken during this Friday, 6:30 p.m. event, and will return to the Longacre House for scoring, pizza, salad, and prizes. Pre-registration is required at the Costick Center or https://recreg.fhgov.com. Call 248-473-1800 for information. 

2. Friday Night Dinner

The Finnish Center on Eight Mile Road in Farmington Hills serves up an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner Friday, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. The menu features baked and fried cod, goulash, vegetables and pumpkin bread. $10 adults, $5 children. 

3. Health and Wellness Day at the Market

Activities at the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market Saturday start at the information booth at 10 a.m., with an initial screening and free pedometer for the first 250 participants, followed by a 1-mile walk through town with Dr. Joseph Williams of Farmington. Learn more at downtownfarmington.org. The market opens at 9 a.m.

4. Governor Warner Mansion Ghost Walk

Meet ghostly members of the Warner family Saturday, as they tell you about their lives and deaths. Michigan Ghost Watchers and storyteller Anne Gnagy will also share chilling tales, and refreshments will be served. Tickets for the 7 p.m. event are $12 per person, or $10 if purchased before the event at Farmington City Hall.
