Star Wars Invades Farmington Community Library

Dress up as your favorite character from the popular sci-fi movie this weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

The Farmington Community Library invites Star Wars fans–adults and children– to enjoy a special event at both the Farmington Hills and Farmington libraries this weekend. 

Here's more information about Star Wars Reads and a few other events posted on our calendar:

1. Low-cost breast screening

Registration and pre-payment are required for 4th Annual Botsford Breast Cancer Screening Event on Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for under-insured and uninsured women. Call 248-471-8120.

2. Farmers & Artisans Market

Browse market vendors selling Michigan produce and products at Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion and Riley Park in Farmington from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and enjoy the music of Bob Monteleone starting at 10 a.m.

3. Star Wars Reads

Dress up in your favorite Star Wars costume on Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Farmington Community Library Main Library, 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills 48334 and Farmington branch, 23500 Liberty St. Farmington. Prizes, life-size Star Wars character cut-outs and more, no need to register. 

4. MotherPeace Drum

A prayer for peace and open drum circle happens Saturday, 6 p.m., at the Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion and Riley Park in downtown Farmington. Drummers and those who love drums are welcome to attend.
