Tarzan, Bowling and More This Weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills

A wide range of entertaining activities lie ahead this weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

1. Tarzan the Musical

Based on Disney's smash-hit animated film, this show opens Nov. 15 and offers five performances. Presented by the Farmington Hills Youth Theatre, the show will be staged at the Costick Center. Learn more and get tickets at https://recreg.fhgov.com

2. FUN Bowling Fundraiser for Emma's Darling Dance Divas

Help Emma Feeheley, Miss Farmington 2013 First Runner-Up, provide free dance lessons, attire and equipment for a group of local youngsters. Tickets for the bowling fundraiser are $20 and include two games of bowling, pizza, pop and shoes. For information, call 248-396-0053. 

3. Scandinavian Bazaar-Finnish Center

Enjoy Scandinavian food and music while strolling through an assortment of crafters and vendors selling hand-woven rugs, Scandinavian imports, ethnic foods and more at the Finnish Center, 35200 W. Eight Mile Road Farmington Hills. Admission is a donation of $1. 

4. The Michigan Opera Theatre presents: Behind the Scenes of La Traviata

Michael Yashinsky, Assistant Stage Director of this MOT production, will demonstrate all the elements of a successful stage production and will discuss the fascinating music and history of this controversial work. Free and open to anyone. Register at farmlib.org or 248-553-0300.
