Cafe Cortina is perhaps one of Farmington Hills' longest-standing fine dining restaurants. The Italian restaurant has been delighting diners for over 35 years. It features an elegant atmosphere with a cozy fireplace. During the warmer months, it has a quaint beautiful garden area for outdoor seating. The restaurant also has a garden from which it uses the fresh herbs and vegetables in its dishes. Everything is prepared from scratch including handmade pastas. On weekends, the restaurant hosts many private corporate parties and weddings.  Popular items on the menu include gnocchi di patate e porcini, branzino al forno erbate and brasato stracotto in amarone--but decide for yourself which is best, you can't go wrong.

This is a high-end restaurant in a not-so-high-end location. Not that there's anything wrong with the neighborhood, it's just that a place this amazing and authentic would be more at home somewhere in Italy or Manhattan. Adrian Tonon is the ultimate restaurantuer and lives & breathes for this place that he inherited from his family. It's really worth your time and your money to spend an evening here. It's like taking a trip out of state or out of the country. And no I don't have any ties to this place, I just really like it! :)
