Forest Elementary School serves approximately 300 students in grades K-4. The school community abides by its mission to create "a safe, caring, and fun learning environment that enables students to achieve their personal best under the guidance of an enthusiastic support team." The school meets Adequate Yearly Progress as defined by federal No Child Left Behind Act standards, and received an "A" on its State of Michigan report card. The school hosts a branch of LOC Federal Credit Union, staffed by fourth grade students, under the direction of LOC employees. The branch is open one day a week, and is available to students, parents, faculty and staff to conduct its regular credit union business. The program encourages students to learn more about financial responsibility.
