Tomatoes Apizza is located around the corner from Johnny Pomodoro's at the corner of 14 Mile Road and Middlebelt. The pizza parlor has been serving up pies for over six years in the Farmington Hills community. Tomatoes Apizza has earned multiple awards: "Hour Detroit" magazine voted it the Best of Detroit for pizza in 2010. In 2009, "GQ" magazine voted it one of the top 25 pizzas. Food Network voted it one of the top 64 pizzas in America. It could be the thin crust that is baked directly in a coal oven or the fact that Tomatoes Apizza's sauce uses fresh tomatoes. The restaurant offers a lunch buffet, so customers can try the many types of pizzas offered.  It also offers a salad bar. This is the smaller one of two locations in Farmington Hills, but both serve up the pizza that has won many awards.
