Chartered in 1865, the Farmington Masonic Lodge meets in the historic Masonic Temple in Downtown Farmington. The TempleMore formerly housed Farmington Township Hall offices and the Farmington Library. A number of masonic symbols are displayed around the top of the red brick building, which is also a gathering place for both lodge and community events. The Masons hosts pancake breakfasts, rummage sales and youth car washes during the year to raise funds for its activities. The building is also a hub of activity during the Farmington Area Founders Festival each summer.
Memorial Park

This small, triangular park is bounded by Grand River, Oakland Street and Farmington Road and lies behind the historicMore Masonic Hall. A granite monument in the west corner pays tribute to all Farmington area residents who paid the ultimate price in service to their country. Every year, the American Legion organizes a Memorial Day tribute that includes a ceremony in Memorial Park following the parade. A tree was planted in this park to honor the victims of the September 11th World Trade Center bombing.
