Established in Downtown Farmington in 2005, the Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion & Riley Park have become a busy centerMore of activity in Downtown Farmington. This town square hosts the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market from May through November, and a Holly Days Market the first weekend in December. Additional summer activities include the Farmington Area Founders Festival, for which the Pavilion serves as a musical stage. In the fall, the Pavilion rocks with the annual Harvest Moon Celebration, a three-day extravaganza of music, wine and beer tasting and a Harvest Market with children's activities and a scarecrow building contest. The Pavilion is named for Walter E. Sundquist, long-time owner of  Sundquist Funeral Home in Downtown Farmington. Riley Park is named for benefactor George Riley of Farmington Hills.
