Power faculty, staff and community have established a mission to "provide a safe and caring environment, which allows students and staff to maximize individual growth as they make transitions in a changing world." The LOC Federal Credit Union at Power opened in 2010, operated by 6th grade students under the direction of an LOC Federal Credit Union employee. Students are able to open and manage their own personal savings accounts, and credit union services are also available to parents, faculty and staff one day per week.

The school is part of the LOC Federal Credit Union program. A branch is open at the school one day a week, operated by fourth-grade students under the direction of an LOC Federal Credit Union employee. Students may open and manage their own savings accounts; parents, faculty and staff may transact regular business as well.

The school hosts a branch of LOC Federal Credit Union, staffed by fourth grade students, under the direction of LOC employees. The branch is open one day a week, and is available to students, parents, faculty and staff to conduct its regular credit union business. The program encourages students to learn more about financial responsibility.

It has established a Positive Behavior Support program to improve student behavior and enhance the school culture. Dunckel also hosts a branch of LOC Federal Credit Union one day per week, operated by students who work with an employee to open and manage savings accounts.
