ACO Hardware Stores Raise Funds for Gleaners

Purchase several Michigan-made brands and the Farmington Hills-based company donates a portion of the price to help feed needy families.

Farmington Hills-based ACO Hardware is partnering with Gleaners Community Food Bank to raise funds that will help feed hungry families in Michigan. From now through Feb. 24, customers who purchase Faygo pop, Better Made snacks and Dearborn Brand sausage – all Michigan-made products – at ACO stores across Michigan will be helping Gleaners deliver millions of pounds of emergency food to soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties.  According to the ACO Hardware website, the company will donate 5 percent of the purchase price of each item sold to Gleaners.  There are two ACO stores in this area, 31580 Grand River in Farmington and 29615 Orchard Lake in Farmington Hills.

Look For Pure Michigan Merchandise on ACO Store Shelves

The Farmington Hills-based company now carries merchandise with the Pure Michigan logo.

Michigan’s largest independent hardware chain, ACO Home, Garden & Hardware, is now stocking its shelves with official Pure Michigan merchandise.   According to an email release from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, The company, headquartered in Farmington Hills, will be offering the Pure Michigan products in its 66 stories, as well as online. The 8.5 million customers that shop at ACO each year will now find items including water bottles, baseball caps, t-shirts and sweatshirts sporting the Pure Michigan logo on display in the store.
