UPDATED: Farmington Public Safety Investigating Floral Park Burglary
The break-in occurred Monday between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Farmington Public Safety Director Robert Schulz said this afternoon that police now believe a burglary Monday in Farmington's Floral Park subdivision is not tied to a string of crimes that have occurred in the area of 9 Mile and Middlebelt Roads. An initial report released through Nixle.com indicated the crime may have been related, but Schulz said "after investigating, we believe that this is not tied to anything in the past." Farmington Public Safety reported Tuesday morning that a resident in the 30800 block of Nine Mile returned home Monday to find the front door forced open and jewelry and other items missing.
