Farmington Hills-Based Firm Raises Funds to Help Treat Children with Burns

Dryer Vent Wizard presented a $5,000 check to the Children's Burn Foundation.

In October during National Fire Prevention Month, Farmington Hills-based Dryer Vent Wizard (DVW) launched a nationwide campaign to raise funds for the Children’s Burn Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides medical and psychological care and activities for children burned in fires along with programs for burn prevention and education. DVW raised more than $5,000 that was recently delivered to the Foundation’s office in Los Angeles. On hand to accept the check were Foundation Executive Director Carol Horvitz and Board Chairman Doug Mancino, along with Adolf Baguma, an 11-year-old child burn survivor from Uganda.
