After Strong Start, Farmington Cheerleaders Finish Fourth in OAA White Competition
The West Bloomfield Lakers took top honors in the event held Wednesday on their home turf.
Although the temperature outside hovered at 18 degrees Wednesday night, it didn't stop the heated cheer competition inside the West Bloomfield High School auditorium. Varsity competition cheer teams from Clarkston, Farmington, Hazel Park, Royal Oak and West Bloomfield participated in the Oakland Athletic Association White Division League Cheer Competition to gain points in league standings. After the first round, judges scoring showed West Bloomfield in the lead with a point total of 209.1, Farmington in second at 204.9, Clarkston with 201.1, Hazel Park scoring 198.5 and Royal Oak with 173.9.
