Farmington Area Artists Featured in OCC Women's Art Exhibition

The juried “From Our Perspectives" exhibition opens Sept. 27 on the Farmington Hills campus.

Kathleen Boettcher of Farmington Hills and Farmington resident Sandra Shelly have had their artworks selected for the Womencenter of Oakland Community College's 22nd annual "From Our Perspectives" national women's art exhibition.  Boettcher's acrylic painting “Work in Progress/Woman as Artist” and Shelly's 3-dimensional work "Circus Dreams" will be on display during the juried exhibition, which runs Sept. 27-Oct. 26 at OCC Orchard Ridge Campus’ Smith Theatre Gallery in Farmington Hills. An opening reception planned Sept. 27, 7 p.m., unveils 34 of the 300 works of art entered from women artists nationwide.
