The Farmington High hockey team's winning streak came to an end this week, but the news was not all bad for area sports teams. Here's what happened: Farmington hockey The Falcons winning streak came to a grinding halt Wednesday, with a 3-1 loss to Rochester Stoney Creek. The Falcons gave up two goals in the first period and tried to fight back with one in the second frame, when defenseman Austin Meltzer slapped the puck home from the blue line with assists from Nick Kozoro and Roman Firestone on a power play. The score stayed that way until late in the third period, when Stoney Creek scored on the empty net.
