CVS Pharmacy’s Minute Clinic Offers Free Diabetes Testing
Stop by the clinic at Haggerty and Nine Mile Road for a free test to check for Type 2 diabetes.
A simple test, now offered free of charge at a CVS Pharmacy in Farmington Hills, can help detect Type 2 diabetes. Nurse Practitioner May Hang, who works at the Minute Clinic in CVS Pharmacy on Nine Mile and Haggerty, says the A1C test is an important screening tool. "It's one of the key measures any health care provider would use to check up on individuals with diabetes," said Hang. "That tells the provider how well the patient is doing with their current treatment plan." This year, the Americans Diabetes Association (ADA) recommended the A1C test for diagnosing diabetes.
