Businesses will talk to job seekers today at the Oakland Job Hub.
More than 60 companies — including eight in Farmington Hills — will be talking to applicants today at the second annual Oakland Job Hub at Oakland University in Rochester. For companies to take part in the event, which is sponsored in part by the City of Farmington Hills, they were required to have immediate full-time openings in southeast Michigan. Most of the job openings are in IT and engineering. Last year, the event attracted 1,500 job seekers. The 10 a.m.-3 p.m. event is free to all job seekers, though if you plan to attend, you are asked to register online first. Several Farmington Hills-based firms will be among more than 30 companies that will be part of the second annual Oakland Job Hub, planned for Feb. 23 at Oakland University.
