Residents Encouraged to Support Michigan Christmas Tree and Poinsettia Growers

Farmington area retailers are listed on the state's 'Real Michigan Christmas' website.

Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) Director Jamie Clover Adams encourages residents to support Michigan's 700 Christmas tree growers and the 54 poinsettia growers.  "Michigan ranks third nationally in Christmas tree production and seventh in the U.S. in poinsettia production," said Clover Adams. "Whether it's cutting your own tree at your local Christmas tree farm, or purchasing a fresh tree or poinsettia from a local retailer, fresh Michigan Christmas trees and poinsettias add a special touch to holiday celebrations."
