Man Found Unconscious in Farmington Hills Parking Lot May Face Charges

The following information was supplied by the Farmington Hills Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate a conviction.

A 58-year-old Waterford man may face narcotics-related charges after Farmington Hills police found him laying unconscious in a parking lot at 12 Mile and Orchard Lake roads late Friday afternoon.  According to the report, officers were called to a medical facility on a report that a man was having a heart attack. They eventually found the unresponsive man laying on his back in the rear of the parking lot. As medics were treating the man, police learned that he had a recent arrest for heroin possession and driving under the influence of drugs. The report indicated that medics observed signs of a drug overdose.  The man was taken to Botsford Hospital, where personnel turned his clothes over to police, based on concerns that he may have kept …

Farmington Hills Man Arrested in Cab Driver Assault, Credit Card Theft at Corner Bar

The man was one of three who refused to pay the taxi driver when he dropped him off, police say.

A 25-year-old man from Farmington Hills was arrested last weekend on charges related to an assault as well as possession of a stolen credit card after a cab driver was beaten up in a Birmingham neighborhood. According to police reports, the cab driver picked up three people — including the suspect — at the Corner Bar in downtown Birmingham around 1:45 a.m. Sunday and drove them to the 1200 block of Bird Avenue. Once there, the three refused to pay the driver, reports state. However, when the cab driver tried to call police, one of the three men knocked the phone out his hand. Hills Police Blotter: Mom Arrives at School Intoxicated

The following arrest information was supplied by the Farmington Hills Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The mother of a North Farmington High School student was apparently intoxicated when she drove to pick up her son after school June 8. According to a Farmington Hills Police report, a custody order allowed the 53-year-old Waterford woman to pick her son up after school that day. When the 14-year-old got into her vehicle, he realized something was wrong and told his mother he needed to pick up a book he had forgotten. He went to the office to phone his father, and his mother followed. When officers arrived, she was trying to get back into her car to leave. A portable breath test showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.248, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08. The woman was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence …

Police Blotter: Liquor Theft, Vacant Home Break-In

The Farmington Hills Police Department filed these reports over the past week: The owner of Bella Vino on 12 Mile told police that on Monday, while a man distracted him at the counter, a woman placed a half-gallon bottle of tequila in her bag and left the store without paying for it. The incident occurred around 3:10 p.m., according to the report. The woman escaped in a vehicle; the man ran, the report said. A neighbor spotted the front door cracked open at a home on Inkster early Monday morning and called police, because the homeowner was out of town. According to the report, police arrived to find the front door forced open and the home ransacked. Police contacted the owner, who was to complete a list of items stolen when he returns. …

Police Blotter: Alcohol-Related Calls, Warrant Arrests

Farmington Police officers aid two severely intoxicated men.

The following reports were filed with the Farmington Public Safety Department this month: Officers called to the area behind John Cowley & Sons in downtown Farmington at 7:19 p.m. May 20 found a 42-year-old Dearborn Heights man lying on a bench. According to the police report, the man was so inebriated that an officer had to rub his sternum to awaken him. Officers called Community EMS, but the man refused treatment, the report said. A check of his background showed an outstanding warrant out of Dearborn Heights; the man was taken to Farmington Road and Interstate 96, where Dearborn Heights police picked him up, the report said. A 30-year-old Auburn Hills man was arrested around 10:40 p.m. May 19 after being stopped by police at Grand River…
