With no collection on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, routes will be delayed by one day Tuesday through Friday during the holiday weeks.
Trash and recyclables in Farmington and Farmington Hills will not be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 25 due to the Christmas Day holiday and on Tuesday, Jan. 1 due to the New Year’s Day holiday. Collection will be delayed one day, Tuesday through Friday, with Friday’s pick up occurring on Saturday. Regular pick up will occur on Monday, Dec. 24 and on Monday, Dec. 31. Next week's Labor Day holiday will mean an adjustment in trash collection days in Farmington and Farmington Hills. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste will not be collected on Monday, Sept. 3. Pick-ups will be delayed by one day during the entire week, with Friday’s collection made on Saturday. All garbage, recycling, and yard waste will be picked up as usual on Monday and Tuesday next week. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes will be collected one day late (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). To ensure pickup, garbage should be at the curb by 7 a.m. Independence Day is one of six holidays during the year when garbage collection is not scheduled; the others are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
