Farmington Area Trash, Recyclables Collection Delayed for Holidays
With no collection on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, routes will be delayed by one day Tuesday through Friday during the holiday weeks.
Trash and recyclables in Farmington and Farmington Hills will not be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 25 due to the Christmas Day holiday and on Tuesday, Jan. 1 due to the New Year’s Day holiday. Collection will be delayed one day, Tuesday through Friday, with Friday’s pick up occurring on Saturday. Regular pick up will occur on Monday, Dec. 24 and on Monday, Dec. 31. Trash and recyclables should be at the curbside by 7 a.m. on collection days. No Trash Collection Thanksgiving Day, Yard Waste Collection Ends
Trash and recycling collection moves a day because of the national holiday.
Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection in Farmington and Farmington Hills will not be picked up on Thursday, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Garbage pickup will be delayed one day, with Thursday’s collection made on Friday and Friday’s collection made on Saturday. Monday through Wednesday collections will not be affected, and regular routes resume on Nov. 26. To ensure pickup, please have your garbage at the curbside by 7 a.m. Yard waste pickup will end on regularly scheduled pickup days during the week of November 26-30. Any yard waste accumulated after that week should be stored until spring pickup resumes in early April 2013. Labor Day Holiday Delays Trash, Recycling Collection
There will be no garbage pick-up on Monday in Farmington and Farmington Hills.
Next week's Labor Day holiday will mean an adjustment in trash collection days in Farmington and Farmington Hills. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste will not be collected on Monday, Sept. 3. Pick-ups will be delayed by one day during the entire week, with Friday’s collection made on Saturday. Trash, Recycling Pick Up Dates Change for 4th of July
Trash will be collected on Monday and Tuesday, then delayed by one day for the rest of the week.
Trash and recycling will not be collected in Farmington and Farmington Hills on Wednesday, July 4, due to the Independence Day holiday. All garbage, recycling, and yard waste will be picked up as usual on Monday and Tuesday next week. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday routes will be collected one day late (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). To ensure pickup, garbage should be at the curb by 7 a.m. Independence Day is one of six holidays during the year when garbage collection is not scheduled; the others are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
