Country Lanes Bowler's 300 Game Recorded for YouTube.com

Today's video features a rare accomplishment for a bowler: a perfect game.

It takes a fair amount of skill to bowl nothing but strikes for 10 frames, but a bowler at Country Lanes did just that on Oct. 30.  Mike Weed's last three throws were recorded and posted to the social media site YouTube.com by user MrBowling300. Weed shot games of 279, 300 and 258 for a total of 837 points.  You'll find details about today's events by following the links below. Local Bowlers Seek Sponsors for August Animal Rescue Fundraiser

The 7th Annual Bowl-4-Animal Rescue in Farmington Hills Aug. 11 benefits the Michigan Animal Adoption Network and the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

Professional bowling champions Aleta Sill and Michelle Mullen, co-owners of Aleta Sill's Bowling World, will host their 7th Annual Bowl-4-Animal Rescue at Country Lanes in Farmington Hills Aug. 11, to raise funds for the Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN) and the Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter (FFDAS). Sill and Mullen are looking for sponsors to support the event. Sill points out that everyone can help.  "We have some really economical marketing opportunities in conjunction with this event, not to mention that sponsors will be making a difference for two local charities," Sill said. Unassuming Aleta Sill, legendary hall-of-fame bowler and demure co-owner of Aleta Sill’s Bowling World in Farmington Hills, is a dynamite performer when she hoists a bowling ball. And, she is an equally successful community volunteer when it comes to another love in her life: animals.  In fact, there is no bowler quite like 48-year-old Sill — and her partner, 46-year-old United States Bowling Congress gold-bowling coach Michelle Mullen — when it comes to ramping up the support for local homeless animals.
