Forecasters predict 1 to 3 inches of snow Saturday in southeast Michigan.
Make plans for a wintry Saturday in Farmington and Farmington Hills. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Oakland County and all of southeast Michigan for all of Saturday. A cold front pushing through the area will bring scattered snow storms and a total accumulation of 1 to 3 inches, according to the special weather statement. Today's high is expected to be 27 degrees; a low of 11 degrees Saturday night is expected, with a wind chill as low as minus-2 in the forecast. On Sunday, sunny skies are predicted, though the cold temperatures will remain. On Monday, look for rain.

Ready for more snow?
Forecasts call for between 2-5 inches of snow in Farmington and Farmington Hills starting Thursday evening, resulting in a Winter Storm Watch being in effect through Friday morning. According to a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service, a strengthening low pressure system will move into the southern Great Lakes region on Thursday. The heaviest snow is expected Thursday evening after 8 p.m., according to the NWS. Snow may mix with sleet at times, but overall is expected to result in 1-3 inches of snow accumulation overnight. Strong thunderstorms that could bring wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, hail up to 1 inch in diameter and localized flooding are possible Thursday afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service has declared a hazardous weather outlook Thursday for portions of southeast Michigan, including Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. The agency predicts a high of 85 degrees with an 80 percent chance of precipitation Thursday; thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon, into the evening and overnight. "These storms may become severe during the afternoon and evening," according to the forecasting agency. "The biggest threat from these storms will be damaging wind gusts to 60 mph and hail to one inch in diameter.
