Della Cassia is a recovering journalist with a passion for community news. She is the former editor of the Farmington/Farmington Hills Gazette newspaper, where she spent more than seven years covering both cities. These days, she spends her time promoting the work of The Engineering Society of Detroit as their director of media and public relations, and as a blogger for the Detroit News, as well as other online forums. Her 18-months old daughter gives her a unique perspective on the world and her husband keeps her laughing at the idiosyncrasies of society.
