Born and raised in Michigan, I like to refer
to myself as a “Citizen Journalist” contributing to the Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch Community and now reaching out to all Patch Communities from California to Wisconsin.

Having a passion for feature writing and hard news reporting, in addition to being a self proclaimed Ambassador to our Armed Forces who have served and are currently serving so that we may remain free, and to our unsung heroes, The Military Working Dogs
(formerly Military War Dogs), our Flag and our Country, and of course my own
dachshund, “Mandy.”

My curiosity and love of writing extends to anything and everything. I've learned that interesting stories can be found in the most unlikely of places and that new ideas can sprout from the most likely of topics;  and I want to share with all of  Patch Communities across this great country of ours.

I have more than 20 years of experience covering local news; having written at least one Blog for every Patch in Michigan and at least 23 Patch Communities from California to Wisconsin. Other media that have included my articles are The Oakland Press of Pontiac, MI, The Milford Times of Milford, MI, and South Lyon Herald, South Lyon, MI and received a associate degree in Military Life Experiences from Vincennes University Indiana in 1987.

While I have never been paid for any of my contributions, my passion for writing has found me performing as the Public Affairs Officer Indiana Wing Civil Air Patrol the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force and other 501 (c)3 non- profit organizations.  Currently Citizen Journalist for the Michigan War Dog Memorial Restoration Team located in Lyon Township, MI.

My Beliefs:

I believe in freedom of speech as long as it does not cause others their rights to speak.

I enjoy doing anything that helps people, which I try to do through my writing.

POLITICS:

I am neither Democrat nor a Republican…I am an American who still practices my right to vote.

I am totally against the two party political system and believe that all Major and Minor Political Parties have a
right to run for office and to be included in all debates that are offered.

RELIGION: I am an atheist who truly enjoys discussing religion and cultural diversity.

  Let’s all love one another.

HOT
BUTTON ISSUES:

I'm very excited to be promoting K-9 Veterans Day March 13 .

“They Served To Save and Deserve to Be Remembered.”

One of the most pressing topics on my plate currently is House Resolution (H. Res.740) Designating March 13 as K-9 Veterans’ Day sponsored by Congressman Gary
Peters (D-MI).

The 112th United States Congress is currently in recess and will end January 3, 2013, 17 days before the end of the presidential term so time is of an essence.

As A Backup Plan, I am asking all of  the Patch
Communities to obtain Proclamations from all Three Levels of Government: Federal, State, And Local
to Designate March 13 As K-9 Veterans’ Day for the year 2013.
