Final Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market and More This Weekend

A tribute to veterans, 1960s music concert and more are on the Patch calendar.

A tribute to veterans, the season's last Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market, and a back-to-the-60s concert are among the events posted on the Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch calendar.

Here's information about just a few of this weekend's events: 

1. Stars and Strips Forever Recognizing Local Veterans

The City of Farmington Hills Special Services Adults 50 & Better Division honors local veterans on Friday, 11 a.m., at the Costick Center. Tickets are $10 at the door, The celebration continues with a luncheon, dancing to a live band, raffles and prizes, and a special sweets table. Call 248-473-1830 to learn more.

2. Last Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market of 2013

Saturday is the last day to enjoy downtown Farmington's spring/summer market, which will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Learn more at downtownfarmington.org

3. Parent's Night Out

Drop your kids off at the YMCA on Saturday and enjoy and evening to yourself. Kids will enjoy crafts, swimming, sports, pizza and more from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. 

4. Magic Bus

Rock to songs from classic artists of the time including the Who, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and more on Saturday, 7:30 p.m., at the Farmington Players Barn. Tie-dyed shirts and bell bottoms are encouraged for this family-friendly concert. Tickets and more information at https://recreg.fhgov.com

5. Learn Yogic Breathing (Pranayam)

Teacher,coach and Pranayam instructor Renu Sharma teaches Sunday, 2 p.m., at the Farmington Community Library Farmington branch. Registration is required; call 269-207-8478 or write to renusharmapob@gmail.com.
